It's almost as if I didn't mind canceling it. That's the worst-case scenario,, and sadly, it's a likely one. It's possible, but doubtful, that someone else (Sentai maybe) got the NA license, but got it so late that they didn't get the English subs done yet. Or the best-case scenario, since the show originally aired on Funimation subbed before the partnership, maybe Funi held onto that specific license and they'll air it subbed as well as the simuldub. Crunchyroll still benefits since they can hype Index 3 being on VRV (through Funimation's side of things) as well.
