first episode was good. it got some negative criticisms and while I can't say I think those people are 'wrong' or anything, I personally found the ep to be pretty funny. none of those criticisms bothered me.

second episode was really, really funny. the tone felt a bit odd at times, I'm not 100% sure what it was, but I've heard that glenn, charlie, and rob did not write any episodes this seasons. it could be just that the writing isn't exactly the same as classic sunny but at the same time we've had non rob/charlie/glenn episodes that have been good before. either way like I said I still found this one to be very funny and entertaining despite feeling a little off.

third episode went back to receiving some mixed reviews but once again I found it pretty funny personally. to be fair though, there's only a few episodes of this show that I haven't loved and even when people complained about newer seasons getting weaker I never felt that way. at times I felt like the show was getting even stronger. regardless of what other people said, though, I still laughed a lot at this episode anyway.

fourth episode to me has been the funniest so far while also feeling the most like classic sunny. it's no surprise this has also gotten the most positive feedback from the discussions that I've seen. honestly this one has so many good jokes and lines that if I wanted to start quoting them I'd probably end up citing the entire episode. the dennis stuff at the end was really strong of course. he's one of my favorite characters. his line about men being absolute monsters and terrorizing women, but they need to do better at 'not getting accused' had me cracking up. they also cleverly foreshadowed the entire thing being set up by dennis by having him know all the answers to the seminar ahead of time; while hiding this evidence in plain sight based on the audiences willingness to accept that dennis might actually know that information.
