I've known a furry since I was like 12, and he's wanted to fuck Bowser for years. Even before people started drawing him as a human woman. Monster fuckers, creepy fanartists and the sort of people that folks dismissively refer to as "the Sonic fandom" have made weird shit for Mario and other franchises for years. It's just that the Sonic fandom is more visible, and Nintendo has done a decent amount of upkeep to keep their brand looking family-friendly and crisp. The current wave of monster gijinkas and Princess Peach transformations honestly isn't anything new - it's just gotten a massive surge in popularity, reaching critical mass in a week. This shit isn't new, it's just popular at the moment. People who decry this as the end of Mario and the degeneracy of Mario fans mustn't have been on the internet for that long. --- I still hear trains at night, when the wind is right.
