| green butter 09/20/18 12:26:27 PM #4: | the truth is that most people in the US finance their phone through a carrier, and apple is playing around with this now. the average consumer has absolutely no clue how much their phone costs, because it's just another line item on a phone bill that is already kind of confusing (what is a line access fee?). so now apple will have phones at the 40/45 a month point and the 35/month point, which looks a lot better to someone who just views this as another item tacked onto their phone bill. at this point they're playing around with what you would consider premium/budget pricing. ultimately the goal is to get people to lease phones --- ...
