Topic	Question for horror fans, did Scream save the horro genre?

Major major scream 1 spoilers do not read if you havent seen the movie again major spoilers you have been warned. I mean the killer was taller than everyone else and only one character is that tall, then tall is chasing girl through the House only for other guy to just happen to pop up at her window to block her.
