I've always been a collector of watches and into horology. Unfortunately, because of this I've owned and still own some nice time pieces. Most recently I was wearing a royal oak and a coworker Googled the brand not the watch and mentioned the cost.

Anyway, I felt uncomfortable because of it since they kept mentioning it and haven't worn a watch in weeks. I felt naked. I decided to buy a nice cheaper model that isn't as flashy and on the more conservative side. That same co worker asked how much it was and I said $80.00 - that shut him up.

I just wanted to vent that I hate when people make you feel uncomfortable.

Here is a time lapse of the new daily.

If by royal oak you mean audemarks piguet, his can you afford an AP (more expensive than Rolex) when your co workers can only afford $80 watches?

And yeah I hate people like that

You misunderstood. I bought a cheaper daily wear watch which I told him cost $80.00 when asked. It's the Tudor black bay bronze that I linked. Its not my business what they can or can't afford.

How much was it? I am a watch guy myself too, and I know Tudor is Rolexs more down market sister brand

Not much. Around $3,800.00 from an AD. Has a completely self made In house movement with cosc certificate for this model. I'm actually enjoying more than I thought. I have a Rolex 114060 as well as a few omegas but overall I'm digging the Tudor so far. What pieces do you own?
