She probably saw that the man (Botham Shem Jean) was black and got scared as hell, and decided to shoot him first and ask questions later. I was about to say the same thing about the furniture. For how she got in, it's possible she just opened the door. Some people don't always have the door locked. Maybe he was expecting someone or had just got home a few minutes ago. There are may reasons the door may have been unlocked. Though he furniture things does bug me. But maybe it was one of those pre-furnished apartments.
