As if the show writers were saying all Trump supporters are Nazis, instead of "Oh, this one Nazi happens to be a Trump supporter" That people get so defensive about it is telling. If you're a Trump voter but you're not racist, or not a Nazi, you should be able to shrug something like this off and say "That's a cheap shot, but it doesn't pertain to me so whatever" In an era where it's encouraged to shout down anyone to the right of you as a literal Nazi, I wouldn't be so cocksure of that.
