Pronunciation-wise, the only difference between his original surname (Naruhod) and the word (naruhodo) is the elongated "o" vowel at the end. I wonder if he ends up saying that a lot, or something... This just makes me even more curious as to the Japanese names, now. Also strange that the localization didn't do something similar for Phoenix Wright's name, but I'm guessing they went with "Phoenix" to go along with the whole "turnabout" thing, where you're about to lose, but then turn the trial around.
