Here's what I don't understand about this whole South African land problem:

In the 1940's, Africa was sadly the victim to Apartheid. This racist and oppressive time resulted in a lot of white people owning most the land in South Africa. Foreign-wealthy-white-bastards from Europe and Asia and even North America were grabbing up this land like it was candy. Just there for the land. Land to profit off of.

These racist, oppressive bastards went on to establish their farms, ranches, and large chunks of property......and financially benefited from it all.

And then those land owners went on to have children (like humans tend to do).

And their children went on to have children.

And the land was passed down and inherited by those children.

Children who had NOTHING TO DO with the racist and oppressive land-grabbing their ancestors committed.

And now, today, in 2018, South Africans are bitter and jealous and angry at the current land owners...because way back in the day, an oppressive and racist system is what allowed them to get that land in the first place. So they want to punish the children for the sins of the father.

It's a logic that is immoral. To punish a child for the actions of the parent. The kids weren't complacent. They weren't even born yet.

That's like burning someone's house down....because they inherited that house from their dad, who inherited the house from his dad, who got the money for the house by robbing a bank and never getting caught. But a cold case gets open and DNA evidence comes forward, and blah blah blah whatever science.....reveals that the grandfather robbed a bank, and now people are angry that the grandson indirectly benefitted from that robbed bank...so let's punish him.

What?

Yeah.
