Topic | Can you tell the difference between fresh pineapple and canned in a buffet? |
fire_bolt 08/18/18 8:19:35 AM #6: | HiddenRoar posted... Could have been refrigerated for a long time. About a week or more after slicing will do that. This. If pineapple gets damp and is allowed to sit it gets a bit slimy (although not really in a bad way). Also over-ripe pineapple is kinda like that naturally. The only real way to be sure is to eat a piece. If the "syrup" tastes like straight sugar then its canned. If it tastes citrusy then its natural. Note that over-ripe pineapple is extremely sweet anyway though. Under-ripe pineapple is sometimes so acidic it sometimes tastes like a lemon. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
