tbh, the topic was posted right around when polls were probably already starting to close.

At any rate, Ned Lamont curbstomped Joe Ganim so badly it wasn't even funny. Fucking 84-16 win. Then, on a shittier note, schoolteacher Jahana Hayes -- a complete political outsider with nothing resembling legislative experience or know-how -- beat the vastly more qualified establishment pick, Mary Glassman. (People knock Trump but at least he worked in executive roles before being elected to the highest executive office in the US.)

Also, not for nothing but...

In most cases, voters did not need a photo ID, according to guidance provided to the states registrars of voters by the secretary of the states office. Sensitivity over the issue of voter identification and voter suppression led registrars in New Britain to remove signs at polls reading: Please have your IDs out and ready for inspection at check-in. Thank you.

They fucking ID'd me. I need to try living in New Britain sometime, supposedly the rules are so lax you could vote 3 or 4 times in the same election.

Oh, and supposedly Bob Stefanowski, a guy who wants to get rid of the income tax at a time when CT's budget is already beyond fucked, won the Republican gubernatorial primary, beating the better-qualified (and presumably more moderate) Mark Boughton.
