Also how the wife was begging Dracula to forgive the people who were killing her because they didnt know what they were doing. Not sure that counts as subtle but Im not sure what the message was supposed to be. >~> But at least they acknowledge that its mainly the one corrupt priest. That demon taunting him towards the end, so I dont think it was so much anti-religion as it was simply using a corrupt church as a story tool.
