Then his mom decided it was a good time to start yelling at my mom. Because my mom decided to buy us a new mattress as a wedding gift. His mom thought it was a stupid present and that my mom should buy us a new AC for his house. Im not even kidding, she legit started screaming at my mom, who started crying. My ex sided with him mom and I sided with mine. His mom wasnt going to attend our wedding and my ex asked what we postpone it until she came around (it was a 50k wedding and all my family already flew in to a ttend). The fact that he would side with her (and it wasnt the first time) just finally made me realize it was never going to work. So I called it off entirely instead.
