(I haven't played this yet, so I don't know for myself). thats not correct at all ff2 has no fixed class system you and IIRC guy is the only one that starts with magic you get stronger by using things if you attack a lot you will be good at attacking if you use magic a lot you will get better at using magic if you get hit a lot you will have high HP its a weird system but one that lets you customize each character anyway you want also maria starts off geared towards being an archer than a mage (you get better with each weapon individually ) --- yusketeer ...
