It's basically just the units I was leveling until I found better ones/ones I liked more :< Like I said, you need to have multiple good echelons to get through the game. By this point in the story, you should have two, and I'd say you should have at least four by the time you finish the story chapters that are in the game right now. Build up a second echelon to a similar level to your first one, then try that mission again.
