A pat down is not a search. And it's not fabricated. Clear probable cause

And yes playing music too loud is a common offense

If there's clear probable cause, why not actually do a complete search of the vehicle? The reason they stopped is because the guy didn't have a seatbelt on...That's not probable cause to search for drugs.

And how is a pat down literally not a search. That goes contrary to all common sense. I can believe that that's somehow the law, but that doesn't make it any more right.

Because searching a vehicle is a whole different ballgame rights wise. A pat down is literally an open hand palm pat down of the body for weapons and more likely than not drugs. A search is literally going through all your pockets, emptying shit

Clear distinction and they both have their own set of rights

Dude, we all know you're a cop. We get it that you have a bias for your profession and need to defend it while telling people they don't know as much as you do about your own job.

Just remember to be honest and admit there are major problems with law enforcement across the country as well. Your comment defending the Las Vegas PD was pretty telling. Major PDs in big cities having corruption issues is by no means unheard of and you just immediately dismissed it without any real argument being made.

For the record, cops being jerks should be very illegal. It is an abuse of power and does no good to help the community. I get it, the law is written in such a way as to give law enforcement certain powers and privileges. The problem is when you have no real means of holding law enforcement accountable.

Color me shocked when this goes on for too long and now law enforcement has a major PR problem that has only gotten worse and will continue to get worse until law enforcement decides to make some very significant changes to their operations.
