Topic	Just got approved for disability :/

The $1000 thing is there so if someone pays you $20 to call them if there's a fire in the house you aren't considered working. See, that's what I thought, but then everyone at my dialysis center and at the social security office made a big deal about how I should keep working which confused the fuck out of me. All "working while disabled" programs are designed to wean you off disability as you find a job that you can do unencumbered. For example if you're in a wheelchair but you can find a place willing to let you work remotely they will keep paying your disability for about 9 months to make sure you can handle it and then it stops. Being in a wheelchair and working is reasonably manageable, though.
