One good thing came from the Buzzfeed article, this comment:
Megan Fraser People don't seem to understand: Jessica's visceral reaction to anyone daring to say anything other than complete agreement with her didn't happen in a vacuum. She wasn't fired for this one incident. All one has to do is go through Jessica Price's history to see a type of douchey behavior and anger-filled hypocrisy and lashing out that spans years. She spends her whole time on social media decrying the very type of behavior she herself exhibits, and has no situational awareness to that fact.
We're talking about a woman who cheered TotalBiscuit dying. We're talking about a woman who went on a crusade to try to shut down a charity that used gaming to raise money to feed the homeless because the owners of the club kept their group apolitical and wouldn't allow ultra-prog agenda driving that had nothing to do with their hobby by advertising some 3rd wave feminist convention. Think about that: She attacked a ==CHARITY==. We're talking about a woman that basically with every post insults somebody or denigrates the entire industry for harmless reasons she blows out of proportions. By any measure, she's an abjectly terrible human being. Her latest salvo was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
She doesn't speak for all women, and she sure as hell doesn't speak for me. If anything, her diatribes and spewing of hatred just harms the very cause she claims to represent. She's a nasty, terrible, worthless person, and karma finally scored a point. Anybody who uninstalled Guild Wars as a result of this (all 4 of them amongst the entire player base), I'm sure this is a win for every other player. Because for all the talk she makes about toxicity in gaming, she's just about the most toxic thing in it herself.
I hope she gets blackballed from the industry. ---
