Power levels in the MCU are wildly inconsistent. For instance in the first Avengers, Iron Man goes toe to toe with Thor in the forest. In IW, Thor withstands the concentrated power of a small fucking star.

Id say this has more to do with an inconsistency on who holds back and why.

Cap going toe to toe with Spiderman logically be a Spidey win, but Spidey was only just superheroing for a max of 6-12 months at that point. Makes sense Cap could stalemate him (and everybody was holding back that fight anyway)

Then with Thor v Iron Man, Thor simply wasnt trying to end him. Thor could have ripped Tonys armor apart pretty fast. Why he didnt is the real question. Thor had no connection to these people and he wouldnt have had to kill Stark just to put him out of commission.
