In comparison, a single bowling ball of decent quality is easily $150+, and then a single game lasts for 20-30 minutes. Whereas a game of golf can take several hours.


No matter what, a ball and a set of clubs are both one-time costs. And there are both cheap and expensive ways to get clubs and balls. And it's been a while since I bowled, but I remember at least some alleys providing a ball if you didn't have one. When considering the prices for both sports, I'm not really focused on that.

However, I'm surprised to learn that you could golf so cheaply.

Id do up to 8 games a day. 5 to 6 days a week. I was losing quite a bit of weight doing it.


Uh, how exactly. It's not exactly a physically intense activity.

Your on your feet carrying and throwing a large heavy ball. It does qualify as exercise.
