A&W is known for their root beer, and their root beer is great. The food is an afterthought. It's good enough, but not great. Nobody really goes to A&W for their burgers. They go to A&W for the root beer. Going to A&W for the burgers is like going to Dairy Queen for the burgers. Dairy Queens specializes in ice cream, and A&W specializes in root beer.
