Sure. He only tried to murder people because he was called a name. Sounds pretty unstable to me. How about this... we move him into the area where most of your loved ones live and say "hope he learned his lesson." Maybe he can be a volunteer chaperone on your kid's next field trip?

Because apparently the only two options are imprison somebody for a ridiculously long amount of time -- much longer than anywhere else in the civilized world -- and let them walk free? And, you know, keeping in mind that *actual* murderers have gotten much shorter sentences than that.
