But generally, it's not a bad policy to give minorities who have traditionally had a hard time in society a second glance. The issue, in reality, is a lack of empathy from the right, which assumes through their policy that poverty is primarily due to personal choices. I don't expect someone who has grown up affluent to understand what it's like to grow up through poverty.
