Excellent. That is the way to go. Good luck to you.

Thanks. I don't/won't overestimate myself in regards to nature since I recognize that there is no one but myself to rely on and i'm not knowledgeable enough for those situations.

but solo camping seems to be more in my line, since I can have the attitude, "I do what I want, how I want, when I want". And the sense of solitude really appeals to me. I have friends who I hang out with a good deal, but I love going on adventures on my own just as much, if not more.

Current obstacles for me and camping at the moment are that the few campgrounds where I live have been devastated by Irma/Maria, and my car broke down. I'll probably just squat on a beach but I really need to hurry up with fixing my car.

Sorry to hear that :(

I think that solitude is a large part that is missing from many of ours lives. We live in such a fast paced environment and a lot of people reference the amount of people they are constantly around as being successful that we never really get a chance to reflect on who we are individually. Hopefully you can get your car fixed soon and enjoy some alone time.
