Detaining a child separately from their alleged parent temporarily is not a human rights violation. As I have said multiple times before, what they are doing in practice is gross. But taking time to verify that their so-called parents aren't taking them in the country to be sold on the fucking sex-slave market is not a bad thing. It's ridiculous to think otherwise. They've just royally fucked up the way they do it. It shouldn't take more than a couple of days to process them and in the mean time, they should be kept in good living conditions. But go ahead and keep straw-manning the argument. I'm sure it'll work.
