Yuck.

City > Knight > Asylum > Origins

Why?

Asylum was amazing because it was basically the first proper superhero game since forever.
Story was great.
City felt like an expansion, not another proper game. It was also great, but I disliked the story twist in the end. Felt recycled.
Origins wasn't even advertised as a new game and I really liked the story/characters.
Knight's gameplay was garbage. I don't want batmobile boss fights.

Asylum was fine. Oddly enough, I didn't like it when I first played it. It had to grow on me.
City felt like an expansion? That's just crazy. City is one of those games that's a prime example on how to do a sequel right. It was bigger, more polished, and added to the first game as well as it build off of a lot of things that made Asylum work. I really enjoyed the story but the twist at the end was a little meh to me.
Origins was just meh to me. Wasn't bad, wasn't good enough to make me want to finish it. It had some neat ideas though. Never touched the multiplayer, which I assume was trash anyway.
I know people don't like AK but that's just a gross over exaggeration. Knight was really solid game overall and not nearly as bad as people try to make it out to be. My biggest issue with it really is that the shift between it and AC isn't nearly as notable as the shift between AA and AC. Basically AC was such a great game in the series that I couldn't see AK doing too much to improve upon it. They tried though and I had a damn blast with it.
