Well considering 90% of the GFAQs Smash community was convinced Ridley was impossible, I imagine their fragile minds are all shattered right about now.

My position was always that scaling him down to an appropriate Smash size would look silly. That position hasn't changed.

My position was always that he was the same height as Samus in Metroid 1, and that him being the same size as Bowser would be appropriate. That position hasn't changed.

But he looked stupid in Metroid 1. Everyone looked stupid in Metroid 1. It was a NES game and it couldn't handle larger sprites than that.

He's a dragon man they could make him anorexic and bright purple and he'd still look dope.

He would, but he wouldn't look intimidating. Tiny dragons still look cool, but far more cute than anything else. In MP3, Samus literally climbs into Ridley's mouth to shoot down his throat. He's very obviously a threat to her there. Here? Eh. He's just an awkward size now.

Bethesda teased games thay won't even be in this generation. Nintendo needs to take some notes.

I very much disagree. The best thing about Nintendo's E3 presentations is that they haven't jumped on the bandwagon of filling their presentation with stuff that won't see the light of day for years to come. Announce a few things a couple years in advance? Sure. But Nintendo's presentation this year basically said "you'll be able to enjoy most or all of these games before our next E3 presentation," and that's awesome and I don't want that to change.
