today sucked ass. this is a continuation from post #34

later that morning a dude came in to draw blood for cultures, but since they've done it so many times, there's pretty much no vein to use. he tried twice, failed. now this needle is painful, and they dig around inside you with it. you feel it. you feel it great.

a little while later he returned with two other people.

one person took my left arm, other took my right, they used this weird machine that showed my vein system over my skin, real trippy shit, and both drew blood from me at the same time. I fucking hated that. and it wasn't even the fun sassy black women who draw blood sometimes. I like them, they're fucking hilarious.

so I get to rest for a few hours and another dude shows up, to put in a new iv in my right arm. unsurprisingly, he failed miserably. so he called some other people, and they came right in and did it but they took their sweet ass time snaking that iv needle into me.

so now cut to a few hours ago. they give me a new round of antibiotics, and the one iv in my left arm starts dripping so it's done. nurse pulls it out, not entirely painlessly. the tape they use on these is just superglue it feels like. she hooks that iv drip to the fancy new one on my right arm

and immediately I feel burning, and pressure there and as it turns out, that iv was just draining directly into my arm which is decidedly not a good thing. she immediately pulls the iv out, and my arm is just swollen. it doesnt hurt, but it's swollen and uncomfortable

up ahead there was a curve approaching
she made no indications of slowing.
