I legit suspect that the announcement made last year was a last minute idea they had, complete with a title screen, for the purpose of showing off to 1) pad their time, and 2) gauge people's reaction to it. So it was barely, if even that, in pre-production at the time, and we'll be a while before we see anything of Prime 4. Then watch Nintendo pull what they did with both Twilight Princess and BotW, and put off its release just enough that Metroid Prime 4 will end up on both the Switch AND the next console. --- ...
