The main question they faced was why their God would break up the ancient tribes of Israel, banish them for over 1000 years, then decide to send Cyrus the Great to repatriate them back to their ancestral homeland. The Tanakh is a terrible source for history, but its a great way to see what were the controversies, concerns, and positions the Jews held around the time of the building of the Temple. --- "But who prays for Satan?
