It is more complex than whether or not people are 'good' or 'bad.' For many people a gang represents a way to provide for yourself or your family when you can't do so by legal means for whatever reason. OTOH the defense of gangs because 'you don't know what they do' and/or 'we do good stuff' is a pretty shit tier opinion too. Gangs as organizations are inherently bad, even if it is true that they aren't homogeneously 'evil' in the sense that everyone in them delights in terrorizing or harming people. --- It's one more thing we do to the poor, the deprived: cut out their tongues . . . allow them a language as lousy as their lives ...
