What we've moved on to from chin and pip, after having it for decades. You just place your card in front of the machine and then it does the payment that way. Often has a daily limit to stop overspending I believe.

Probably includes that as well, but chip and pin is basically ancient technology in Europe at this point.


Over here, it's a 30 quid per transaction limit, not sure on daily limits.

Cash machines were still working, so everyone could withdraw money anyway.
