| Robazoid 06/01/18 6:58:55 AM #25: | I just finished the first season of Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos. I'm a big fan of Lovecraft so once I finally learned there was an anime inspired by it, it got pushed all the way to the top of my list. Given that eldritch inspiration, a harem comedy certainly wasn't what I was expecting. Still, I really enjoyed it! I'm sure this is something that a lot of people would hate because of its semi-annoying comedic style and Nyarko being so crazy, but to me it was tons of fun. I love high-energy characters like Nyarko, and I actually really like what it did with the harem dynamic. Kuuko obsessing over Nyarko rather than the (purposefully) bland protagonist led to a lot of hilarious moments. I feel like they could've done more with the Lovecraft aspects, which were mostly limited to references (Carcosa Computer Entertainment was great, though) but I still enjoyed catching those as well.
