But then hey it happened and he wasn't even trying to cover any bases. I think he was really just trying to emphasize how wrong Brad was in voting out Tai over Sarah, since he probably expected to play that decision into the next season they were filming (one bad move haunts you 5ever). He even says that line in post-season interviews about Brad's choice, emphasizing just how close he was to winning.
