I don't see anyone suing the school because if the sport is sponsored by the school (which seems to be the case since the AD made the policy change in this specific instance) then all the athletes waived their right to sue when they signed up for the sport. Typically the school will still be at fault if the injury is caused by gross negligence of the staff in charge but any old injury that comes from regular participation in the sport isn't on the school. That just means nobody will successfully sue the school. I can pretty much guarantee somebody's going to try. --- This is my signature.
