Don't open the oven, don't flip it etc. Preheat the oven for like 10-15mins first too. You can use as much salt as you like - depends how salty you like things. You flip it with a spatula when you're using a fry pan. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1489/7938/products/Product_Image_900x1107__2pc_Spatula.jpg Protip: Do not keep flipping the steak back and forth. You only need to flip it once. You will be nervous that it's going to burn if you leave it on one side for 4 and a half minutes. It won't (unless you have the heat set to the highest setting). Each stove is different but I just turn the knob to 3/4 full heat and that works for me. I have an electric oven too so it may be different if you have a gas oven. Look, when I moved out and started cooking, I burnt the shit out of everything, or undercooked it and had to throw it away. But I learned over time. You can only learn by doing. You won't burn the house down. --- When goods do not cross borders, soldiers will. Frederic Bastiat, French economist (1801-1850) ... Copied to Clipboard! |
