So let's talk about part 5 dub.

I thought the script for it this time was on point.

And the dub also did a better job of showing that Himikawa totally killed Tapirmon.... which I thought the Japanese version didn't convey as hard. The kill the tension school section was more tolerable in English (still stupid) and I really liked the Digimon sayijg on Tai and Meiko more now because Tentamon added a ton to the absurdity with his comments.
The ghost story part was also funnier because Vic just fucking killed it when people were gossiping about him being scared.

Hackmons voice makes him more of a stone cold killer in the dub (which is good)

Now for the bad (there isn't much, and they couldn't help some of it).

Maybe Tai's most iconic line in Tri (when running after Jesmon and Rasailmon) was killed in the Dub. I don't blame Josh, Josh delivered it about as well as his Japanese counterpart, but the Japanese version gave the line gravitas and power, where as the dub script just ripped all that out of it like it was a normal line, which both hurts the line and makes it far more jarring when they flash back to it since now it means less.

Kari's voice actor...... ugh.... she's not bad, but she just CAN'T add anything to the scene. Being that this was her fucking movie that's a problem. She's not nearly as good as her Japanese counterpart for the Digiworld hates us part, and she's frigging awful for the kicking Homeostasis out of her body part. Also, she never really calls Tai big brother in the dub like Hikari has nicknames for Taichi in the sub, so it's really misplaced her words when Tai "dies" Which I feel did hurt that moment a bit. But the shock of Tai dying, Ophanimon Falldown Mode and then Libra right in a row makes it quickly forgotten.

Meiko still sucks as a character, but her dub actor is far less annoying than her sub.... so that's neat at least.

I LOVE Diago's dub voice. Thx. I can't wait to see how he treats the lab scene in 6. Same for Josh.

Everything else was fine. Script was pretty accurate, and most of the very minor changes made (bar the one I said earlier) were more neutral than negative. Good dub. No complaints, and dear god was it awesome seeing Omegamon come together on an IMAX screen. Hyped like hell for part 6 dub in September
