For the most part I do agree with you. However it does have some negatives. For instance if I want to look at getting a new game I have to know exactly what game I want. The reason being because the search feature will flood you with 1000s of cheap crap games. Sure you can narrow the search down but steam will only let you filter so much. The last thing I want is to search through 1000s of cheap 2 dollar junk games to try and find 1 decent real game.

Maybe sort by price and then have the list sort so the most expensive games are first? It won't eliminate crap games, but it'll make it so you can stop looking once you get to the $2 section.
