I'm saying I don't understand why you think 2 years and 10 years are that different in this context. I think it's kind of weird you do. When does it become implausible to you? 3? 4? 5? 6 years? I do admit there's a difference but you're clearly making an entirely arbitrary distinction here. I thought you might try to justify it. What I see as being comparable is someone using a person for gain and then leaving them when they don't need their financial support any more. --- It's one more thing we do to the poor, the deprived: cut out their tongues . . . allow them a language as lousy as their lives ...
