From what I remember about Rage the gunplay was fairly solid, as one would expect of id Software. The world and story were very much underdeveloped afterthoughts though. They also spent a fair amount of their cash on celebrity voice actors. I also vaguely remember a card-based mini-game. I guess the developers thought 'why not, everyone else seems to be doing it'.

I'm not sure why they'd want to put out a sequel. It's also a bit odd that it's ostensibly going to have Borderlands 3 as competition.
