Going into it with a prenup is setting up a psychological backdoor so that if things go wrong, you have an easy "abort" button. What's stupid is this incredibly cynical view towards relationships that if two people want to go into a romantic commitment without one, that they are stupid. Having faith and love in your partner and a mutual agreement to work out the worst of circumstances together is stupid.
