Topic | Do certain medications really make you gain too much weight? |
Ultima Dragon 05/14/18 4:42:15 AM #3: | SSRIs/psych meds and heart/blood pressure medication are notorious for this. The former is not really fully understood, but they absolutely brick your metabolism. I was on Cipralex for a short time (about six months) and I gained 20-30 pounds despite zero change in my diet or exercise habits. Went off and the weight came off too. It's not gonna be the same for everyone, but a lot of people do experience significant weight gain with some of these that counting calories and working your ass off in the gym doesn't fix. --- "It's Canada, their idea of rioting is a half-muttered swear word." - deathbeforelife ...
