Colossus is only gay in the Ultimate universe, Marvel 1610. That universe was literally destroyed as a result of a recent crossover with everyone dying except like Mile Morales. That was the edgelord universe featuring awful things like Magneto being completely insane, Blob and Hulk literally eating people, Neocon-fascist-America-first-Pro-torture Steve Rogers, Incest twins Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, pedo-wolverine (he sleeps with a teenage Jean Grey despite being like 100 years old), etc. When Bendis cared, it had good moments. But it has way more eye rolling edgelording.

Iceman being gay is a reference to some experimentation Bobby did relatively recently, ending with him coming out. That's not necessarily a retcon because it acknowledges that he's had past relationships, also he could be bisexual, so whatever. I'd like to remind you all that Nightcrawler and Wolverine have had sex with one another at least once, and they've both had relationships with women in the past and since.

The real gag is the temporally displaced teenage Jean Grey capriciously outing a temporally displace Iceman who has lived none of the experiences that allowed his older counterpart to come to terms with his sexuality. In addition to it being an asshole thing to do, Ms. Grey, it's completely undeserved because we've not established Iceman's shitty romantic history yet, and he's basically fourteen.
