Ulti... what the hell is wrong with you? The guy I considered a good friend back in 2002 would never insult someone's family over something like this. Even if you weren't wrong about this (and others have done a pretty good job of illustrating this, so I won't pile on), it still looks terrible on you. Give yourself a look in the mirror, man. I don't even know if this is the real you or your stupid Board 8 persona any more, but it's not a good look.
By the way, my wife worked in oceanography as well, and I can pretty much assure you from attending events with her co-workers etc. that yeah nobody who actually studies this (without a clear agenda in mind) doubts that there is a clear connection between CO2 and temperature, or that we're putting a lot more CO2 into the atmosphere, or that the global temperature is rising (though how much is indeed difficult to measure). You can respond to this by saying "your wife and all her co-workers are idiots" if you want, but I'd suggest you think carefully about if that's something you actually want to do.
I think you're forgetting how old I am. In the 80s, we were told an ice age was coming. Then it was hilariously wrong.
