Oh? So what was hurt besides his feelings? Did he suffer a gunshot wound? Was he struck with the weapon? What's that? No? So what besides his feelings wee hurt?

Could be traumatic for some people...

...which is still feelings and, if anything, they could specifically pay for the counseling-- you know, that counseling he's not going to get because this is a money play. And, by the way, he ACKNOWLEDGED that it was about his feelings.

"The hardest thing for me was, believe it or not, it wasn't really the gun," said Arreola, pausing as he seems almost overcome by emotion. "It was his arrogance, his way of talking to me. [] He treated me like a piece of trash."

Right, I forgot this is america where deadly weapons being waved around is totally normalized

Your entire country is fucked up and I don't have a problem saying that

While you can shout from the top of your soapbox, he wasn't complaining about the gun, he was complaining about the treatment.

So yeah, 100% feelings.

Having a gun drawn on you is "nothing"?

All signs point to yes.

the idea of getting that money from the cops' pensions funds seems like a great idea and all. But how often does something that makes good sense and seems very fair not get implemented in the u.s.?

No, it's a fucking terrible idea. And the person who suggested it pretty openly hates cops which is they'd recommend doing something disastrous to all cops.
