Because when people are forced to work that many hours, their productivity goes down. There are places that are going for a 6 hour or less workday now. Sounds real nice. i totally agree light, very accurate Its truly a problem of their own making. Its their culture to not want to leave before the boss. While the actual day may end at 5, its a waiting game for them after that. Otherwise, people in the office may feel that they dont care about the collective.
