Is that supposed to be non aggression principle? From Lincoln's view, the south was the aggressor. It should also be noted that Lincoln didn't come into office to whack down slavery. He just wanted to preserve the union. His consolement was to the point that he offered a constitutional amendment where the federal government would not be allowed to touch the slave question. But southern states began seceding before he even got into office. Once Lincoln was elected, they got out, subverting the Republic into a "my way or highway" system.
