"You are digging your grave" - the guy did nothing wrong, based on what he posted here. He said some mean things about someone, based on what he posted here. Lying about that is objectively a far worse crime than saying mean things about someone online.

Yeah, that's not how the law works.

Please enlighten me then.

Please explain how someone can be found guilty of something that isn't a crime.

Yeah sure.

1) some lady from works accuses him of making threats and files report with police department
2) detective says "hey OP come by the station and sign a few things, 10am tomorrow work for you?"
2) he signs paperwork saying he agrees to what he was accused of and the fine and/or jail time.

1) The chat logs do not reflect any threats.
2) OP can review what he's stating and signing before he states and signs it.
"2)" [sic] If he was accused of making threats, but the chat logs don't reflect that, then why would he go to jail or be fined for making threats.

Your logic is just really absurd.

If he signs a plea agreement, it still has him admit guilt. The coercion and deception from the police is a way that people who were wrongly imprisoned get in the system.

What plea agreement?? The detective asked him to write a statement testifying to the circumstances surrounding the situation.
