Well as I said to bazooka, that's good. People that would tell him to stop because dolls are for girls are a prime example of what toxic masculinity means.


Why is that an example of toxic masculinity? Gender role enforcement isn't inherently a maculine or feminine idea. If anything the idea of gender social construction completely states the opposite. That gender roles are simply a social construction and have nothing to do with actual gender identity.

What was even remotely difficult to understand about my post? Explain how a man telling his son not to play with dolls is an example of toxic masculinity. If gender is a social construct, then a man saying that to his son has nothing to do with actual masculinity or femininity and is really just an example of social order enforcement.

You are attempting to change the subject our discussion. If we look at gender as a social construct than masculinity and femininity are 100% completely arbitrary things.


Well the same people who push the social construction theory also talk about toxic masculinity usually which has never made any remote amount of sense to me. Good on you for not buying that, but that was what the point I was trying to express was about mostly.
